I also have a few friends who are vegetarians who are at least 50 pounds overweight!!

One problem I had however was when you claimed that morality is subjective. This is NOT TRUE! People may debate about what is right and wrong, but someone is always right. For example, I can't say that killing an innocent baby is wrong for me, but right for you because the morality of the situation is subjective. This is off topic, but moral relativism is a fallacy of the modern world!

Basically this: Morality is not subjective. (opinions can be subjective however) Eating meat is either moral or not. The contention lies in which side is right...Elisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13862999312516437113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30181477.post-81319057698476820492008-04-27T18:32:00.000-04:002008-04-27T18:32:00.000-04:002008-04-27T18:32:00.000-04:00Sorry, that URL didn't come through right, somehow...Sorry, that URL didn't come through right, somehow. And if you do miss meat, it's a moral failing rather than your body telling you something.

Sue, I did notice that. Their mission is total animal liberation - not human health. I mean, they're against house pets (euthanizing animals rather than adopting them out)and service animals ie seeing eye dogs) bc it's "slavery." I have three cats and lemme tell you, the master/servant relationship is definitely skewed in their favour ;)Tracyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17268626403040745983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30181477.post-25565329323052491432008-04-22T21:32:00.000-04:002008-04-22T21:32:00.000-04:002008-04-22T21:32:00.000-04:00Oh my goodness - talk about unhealthy crap! While PETA supports a strict adherence to veganism, we put the task of vigorously reducing animal suffering ahead of personal purity. Boycotting products that are 99.9 percent vegan sends the message to manufacturers that there is no market for this food, which ends up hurting more animals."

So its okay to eat that .1% of animal product if you are a vegan.Suehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03181442844616803097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30181477.post-61827247071876675092008-04-21T15:05:00.000-04:002008-04-21T15:05:00.000-04:002008-04-21T15:05:00.000-04:00Bravo, Tracy!Bravo, Tracy!migraineurhttp://migraineur.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30181477.post-11488476126096864652008-04-21T12:44:00.000-04:002008-04-21T12:44:00.000-04:002008-04-21T12:44:00.000-04:00My mother was a vegetarian for many years. She got cancer and was pissed because she thought vegetarian eating was going to keep her very healthy and she had missed meat terribly. She's still a meat-eater today but unfortunately kept the chips, crackers, cereals, etc. and got even fatter. Just recently, she went on a real food diet and lost a lot of weight. She looks for grass-fed meats, in-season veg. etc. It's the first time in 30 years she's been thin.Karenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09366843936664158258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30181477.post-3046585493261034962008-04-21T11:15:00.000-04:002008-04-21T11:15:00.000-04:002008-04-21T11:15:00.000-04:00If it's vegan, it's healthy apparently.
